Tumkur University Success Story, 2009-2013

we have achieved what a team committed to excellence in higher education can achieve to its maximum capacity in a short span of four years.

It has been the ambition of stakeholders of the University that the University should set a model to the rest of the scenario, and now we can proudly vouch that we took the challenge head on and demonstrated what kind of grit, hard work and perseverance a team can exhibit on its path towards transformation.
The situation in Tumkur University was rather discouraging when I assumed office as the Vice Chancellor in May 2009. From infrastructure to academic progress to research, the entire University was anticipating a complete rejuvenation. Absence of a campus of its own, scarcity of staff, non-availability of well-equipped classrooms, libraries and laboratories plagued the University making the future very bleak.
